A mother-daughter relationship undergoes many changes over a lifetime. The transformation, although natural (and predictable), can be surprising. Dependencies change and soon you find your mother/ daughter to be your best friend. With age, ideas change and deep rooted opinions form that lead to clashes. But the inherent concern, anxiety and love are unconditional. "You will soon realize this when you yourself become a mom", were the usual statements made by my own mother as I went about opposing her views or actions throughout my life. And boy was she right!!
When I got to know that Neha is going to be a mother for the second time, I was quite excited about capturing her relationship with her adorable daughter as part of her maternity shoot. This was more of a lifestyle shoot that we did at their house, trying to capture every-day moments of happiness and wonder that generally go undocumented.
It would be very interesting to see how little Saisha grows up to be the Big Sister to a beautiful baby boy that the couple was blessed with today.

Hi! I am Shambhavi Kartik, a photographer-mom based out of Delhi. I have been taking up maternity and pregnancy photoshoot projects since 2016. I strive to keep my photoshoot style natural and comfortably posed.
