I had done A’s shoot as a newborn baby. 4 months down the line, I got the opportunity to cover his birth announcement party as well.

And this idea of introducing the new family member to the rest of the world, after a certain time has passed, appeals to me a lot. These few months allow the mother and the baby to bond well, allows the baby to start acclimatizing with the world and so on.

This “all-blue themed” party was full of relatives and well wishers, blessing the little one and the family.

And the winter afternoon in Delhi helped a lot with the overall mood.

Hi! I am Shambhavi Kartik, a photographer-mom based out of Delhi. I have been taking up infant and toddler photoshoots since 2016. I try to keep the tone of the shoot as natural and candid as possible, as I strongly feel that kids are best when they are in their natural environment or habitat.
